Storing Process

Place the pie into an airtight container

This will last for about five [5] days in the refrigerator

The more compact the container the better

The more protection you provide to keep air out the better the pie will b.

 

Freezing Process

Place the pie into an airtight container

Before freezing cut the pie into individual portions.  This will help if you don’t want to eat the entire pie after you bring it down [optional]  - 

Double wrap the [portions, the container and the extra icing that came in the bag] in an airtight freezer bag

This will help to preserve the moisture in the pie as well as protect against any freezer burn

The more protection you provide to keep air out the more moist the pie will be

Use the pie within three [3] months of freezing.

 

Thawing Process

Place the pie the refrigerator the night before

To check it is fully thawed, stick a knife of toothpick in the middle of it

Once it is completely defrosted, sit it on the counter while you are warming up the oven  -  Heat it up

Warm up the icing that came with it drizzle over, eat it alone or accompany it with an ice cream of your choosing

Remember, eat the pie within 24 hours of thawing and never re-freeze
